Faculty Spotlight: Bryan Karney
Professor Bryan W. Karney is a professor of Civil Engineering and the chair of the Division of Environmental Engineering and Energy systems. He has a passion for teaching and research and has won a number of awards. Topics of interest range from energy and water hammer to flows of frazil ice and include engineering education and ethics. His current research considers the design, analysis, operation and optimization of various water resource and energy systems, with special emphasis on hydroelectric and pumped storage systems, pipe networks and water distribution systems.
