Myth Busters: Classes are going to be huge and I’m going to nothing but a number to my professors.
FACT: First Year engineering classes have approximately 80 to 120 students. You will attend all your First Year classes with the same students, so it’s really easy to get to know your peers and professors.
Your professors want to get to know you! On the first day of class, your professor will put his/her name, phone number, email and office hours on the board. Office hours are a set time during the week that your professor will always be in his/her office so you can stop by with any questions you have, or just to say hi and get to know your professor. The professors are all really friendly and open to answering your questions.
