Faculty Spotlight: Grant Allen
Professor Grant Allen teaches in the Department of Chemical Engineering at U of T and is also the current Vice Dean, Undergraduate. As Vice Dean, it is Professor Allen’s job to work with the Dean’s office to maximize the academic experience for all undergraduate students studying in Engineering at U of T. He works closely with your professors and the administrative staff to ensure that you get the best experience possible while completing your undergraduate studies.
Aside from his responsibilities as the Vice Dean, Professor Allen also does research in Bioprocess Engineering where he looks at how microorganisms can be used to take the pollution in wastewater and air emissions and convert them into useful fuels and chemicals. He also loves skiing, snowboarding, hockey, hiking, canoeing, golf and baseball!
