Jeffrey Skoll BASc/MBA Program

A collaboration between the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering and the Rotman School of Management (U of T’s Business School), the Jeffrey Skoll program allows students to earn their Bachelor degree in engineering and an MBA (Master of Business Administration) in just 6 years and 8 months. This length of time includes a full year of work experience through the Professional Experience Year (PEY).

In today’s competitive industry, businesses are looking for a new generation of leaders–ones who combine a rigorous engineering background, excellent management training, and experience working in industry. Through the Skoll Program you will gain top-notch management skills, total comfort with new and emerging technologies, and the interpersonal and team skills needed to succeed.

Once you graduate, you can start a productive career as a entrepreneur, as a manager or executive in a technology-based business, or, indeed, as a manager in any modern business!

Not only will you be trained as a part of the newest generation of business men and women, you will also be conducting leading-edge research. The Jeffrey Skoll BASc/MBA Program will allow you to contribute to some of the world’s most innovative thinking, teaching, and research at the intersection of engineering and business.

Jeffrey Skoll, who was eBay’s first president, is a 1987 graduate of the University of Toronto’s electrical engineering program. Mr. Skoll’s gift of CAN$7.5 million to the University of Toronto endowed three chairs and established the Jeffrey Skoll BASc/MBA Program in 2000. Mr. Skoll recently pledged CAN$3.75 million to the university to help expand enrolment in the program.
