Student Services: Academic Support
Math Aid Office
The Math Aid Office provides undergraduate students with assistance in Calculus and Linear Algebra. The office is overseen by Professor Dietrich Burbulla who will provide you with one-on-one math assistance. The best way to utilize this service is by making sure you have concrete questions to ask. Try your homework and problem sets – and bring in anything you have had difficulty with. If you and your peers have similar questions, you are welcome to visit the Office as a group. Remember, it is best if you don’t wait until immediately before a test or exam to visit the Math Aid Office.

Engineering Communication Program
An excellent resource to help you with your written and oral assignments. The Program’s aim is to help all engineering students write better assignments and improve their overall communication skills. Not only are the Program’s tutors an excellent resource, but the website also provides useful information, such as an Online Handbook that provides guidelines for everything from report writing to properly documenting resources.
How to Use
You can book 30 minute, one-on-one appointments with a qualified tutor. Tutors will not edit your assignments, but rather help you to identify any key areas to improve upon.
Location
Sandford Fleming Building, Rm. B670 (in the basement)

Peer Tutoring
There are a number of tutoring options available to students. The Engineering Society operates a peer-tutoring program for Engineering students. Tutors in the program are upper-year Engineering students. Contact information for tutors is posted online, along with the course they tutor for and any fees they may charge. For more information on this program, please visit Academics.
You can also find help through the University of Toronto Peer Tutoring (UTPT) program. It is a club that is run by University of Toronto undergraduate students in all disciplines. The program provides academic support to students in the form of free tutoring sessions with qualified volunteer tutors. For more information, or to book an appointment, please visit their website: University of Toronto Peer Tutoring
