Discover Engineering

To Do List #4

to do

1. Sign up for First Year Foundations
First Year Foundation programs are designed to help you prepare for September, by easing the transition between high school and university. We are still accepting registrations for the following summer programs:
• Engineering Design 101
• Engineering Study Skills
• Academic Orientation Sessions
• Success 101

To find out more about these and other First Year Foundation courses, please visit: http://www.undergrad.engineering.utoronto.ca/support/1styear.htm. You can also download a copy of the First Year Foundations Brochure on the Discover Engineering website.

2. Login to our online Student Information System (ROSI) www.rosi.utoronto.ca.
We recommend that you login to your ROSI account as soon as possible to verify your personal information. Be sure that both your mailing address and email address are listed correctly. In August you will be able to see your course timetable on ROSI as well. Don’t worry, you don’t need to enroll in your classes, the Faculty will do this for you! For more information on ROSI, please see page 7 of the Guide to First Year.

3. Contact us if your grades have fallen
If your final grades have fallen below the conditions stated in your offer, please contact the Admissions Office as soon as possible to discuss the situation. You can contact the office at 416-978-0120 or admissions@ecf.utoronto.ca

4. Make sure you know your Math
Visit the First Year website for information and resources to help you prepare for your first year engineering math courses: undergrad.engineering.utoronto.ca/support/1styear/math.

5. Get your TCard (if you are able)
If you are in the Toronto area and are able, we suggest you get your TCard (U of T student identification card) during the summer, rather than waiting until September (when the line up at the TCard Office can be really long). Be sure to bring your offer of admission letter along with you, as well as photo ID – they will ask for this when you arrive at the TCard Office. If you are not currently living in Toronto, not to worry – you can get your TCard on campus closer to the start of classes: www.utoronto.ca/tcard/.
